The Earth Alliance territories are dwelled by Naturals, while ZAFT territories are composed of Coordinators. The Orb Union is made up of many islands. It is a neutral nation where both Naturals and Coordinators live.

During this time period, man-kind has found a way to settle in outerspace. The orbiting colonies are located at areas of gravitational stability known as Lagrange points. The map shows five Lagrange points and the space settlements known as PLANTs.
